We’re thrilled to welcome Saurabh Pandey to the Orbach Lab!
Saurabh comes to us from Gorakhpur, India, with a strong foundation in molecular and cellular biology and a growing passion for understanding how molecular processes translate into cellular function. He completed his DBT-sponsored master’s degree in Biotechnology at Jaypee University of Information Technology, and later joined Dr. Jaapna Dhillon’s lab at the University of Missouri (USA), where he investigated how diet and metabolism shape physiological and molecular responses in health and disease.
Over the past few years, Saurabh has developed an impressive interdisciplinary toolkit — combining molecular biology, biochemistry, and computational analysis to probe complex biological systems. Building on this foundation, he now turns his focus to the molecular mechanisms that underlie ciliary function and stability, aiming to uncover how specific proteins contribute to the cilia.
When not in the lab, Saurabh enjoys traveling and reading philosophical literature — pursuits that mirror his thoughtful approach to science.
Welcome to the team, Saurabh — we’re excited to see where your curiosity takes ciliary biology next!
